Re: Recall Diagana
Didn't Defoe go out on loan, do very well and come back to be our top scorer?

Of course, I hope the parallel ends there, without the relegation and him forcing a move...

Recall Diangana?

He was in a similar situation to Hugill. Worried about lack of game time and again many fans were starting to question if he was good enough.

How about we put faith in the players we have on our books rather than send them on loan and when they start showing promise asking for them back?

Re: Recall Diagana
As others have said, we still have options ahead of him, I want to see Fornals in the side, asap, he looks quality. Great to see Diagana doing well, leave him there and see if he has what it takes to make it in the prem, if not, his value will be sky high.

terry

and the fact he'd still likely be 6th choice even if he has a great season there

Re: Recall Diagana
taken off at half time not long back, he's doing well in general, would not play make the bench here with Fornals and Snoddy in front of him so better of where he is

Re: Recall Diagana
The problem might be the Baggies trying to make the loan permanent and Sullivan being tempted to cash in.

Re: Recall Diagana
Keep him where he is.

Tammy Abrahams doing well off of a decent spell with a Championship side and playing in front of fans who don't have too much expectation.

Think that Diagana will too.

Re: Recall Diagana
Just seen his goal from Saturday, absolute class. Leave him there for now and let him develop, he'll only end up back on the bench here.

If Diangana is ready to replace Anderson next summer that is surely a positive, is it not?

He’ll be back next summer when we sell Anderson.

Window is SHUT (barring free agents) for incomers until January.

There's some rule for emergency goalkeeper loans, but that's it. We're done. Unless all 3 keepers drop dead.

can't be recalled until January

More of an attacking forward than a striker though right?

Re: Recall Diagana
It'll do him more good to carry on ripping it up there than getting cameos here. Unless we get more injuries we already have:

Anderson
Yarmolenko
Fornals
Snodgrass
Lanzini

who would probably play ahead of him in any position he'd be in contention for. Also, it gives a chance for another youngster to get a few sub appearances in and get on the conveyer belt behind him. Then Grady comes back a more confident and complete player and genuinely competes for a first team place.

Playing under a good man there, as well :)

diehardhammer 1:58 Mon Sep 2
Re: Recall Diagana
as others have said keeping him there at west brom would be the best move

will do him the world of good playing against teams like luton who'll try and rough him up, if he can add strength to his game then next season might be his real break through

ironsofcanada 1:57 Mon Sep 2
Re: Recall Diagana
Very pleased for him and even Bilic to be honest but people also need to remember a handful of games is just that.

I hope he continues from strength to strength but he is there for a reason and that is development.

We should have snapped up Ravel again if a few games is our criteria.
